Book Signing - Bill Mosley's VERTICALS | Over San Diego

To celebrate the release of artist Bill Mosley’s first book, VERTICALS | Over San Diego, The Frame Maker is hosting a signing event on December 5th, from noon until 3 pm. The exhibition, A San Diego Experience, showing Bill’s current work and including images from the book is currently on view through December 24th in our showroom. To celebrate the event the artist is releasing a limited edition print that expresses his love of “America’s finest city,” which will also be available for purchase.

As a native of San Diego, Bill has always had a strong connection to the physicality of the urban environment. His first downtown studio provided him with the opportunity to paint the views from it’s rooftop. This cemented his interest in the uniqueness of perspectives from well above our usual grounded views. As buildings grew taller downtown, the artist found a fertile ground to explore. The results of that exploration are what is featured in VERTICALS. Anyone who has entered our city will find the images immediately recognizable, however the high perspectives reveal a metropolis of rhythm, strength and beauty. The book VERTICALS | Over San Diego is available for purchase through The Frame Maker for $40.00 each.

Mosley has also released a special limited edition print “Point Loma View” to celebrate the launch of VERTICALS. In true artistic fashion the “Point Loma View” is decidedly horizontal but features San Diego’s vertical skyline in detail contrasted by our bay and East County mountains. It is an image that any San Diegan will love. The print is 2.75” x 10.25”, has an edition of 24 plus artist’s proofs. It is available for $75.00.
