San Diego Union-Tribune critic Robert Pincus discusses Tara Donovan’s installation now at the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego‘s downtown galleries.
“You might think that an artist who has experienced a rapid ascent to recognition internationally, including a MacArthur “genius grant” in 2008 and critical acclaim wherever her work is shown, would possess an abundance of confidence. So, Tara Donovan’s view of her work might surprise you.
“I feel as if I’m starting over every single time I make a piece,” she said by phone from her home just outside Manhattan.”
Read this excellent story over on the UT’s SignOnSanDiego site. There’s some good photos there as well, like this:
We like Donovan’s work a lot and you can find out more on the MCASD exhibition page and check our her PaceWildenstenstein bio page, too.
