The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore, Maryland (phone: 410-547-9000) will host a traveling exhibition of art from major museums, U.S. and European, on the topic of “Heroes, Mortals, and Myths in Ancient Greece,” from Oct. 11, 2009 – Jan. 3, 2010. The Walters Museum press release says the exhibition explores mankind’s need for heroes through statues, reliefs, vases, bronzes, jewelry, and literature.
