LA JOLLA, Calif., Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ — The La Jolla Festival of the Arts,
produced by the Torrey Pines Kiwanis Foundation, celebrated its 23rd
anniversary in June with excellent results. More than 8,500 people attended
the two-day event, despite unfavorable weather and heavy local competition. As
a result, over $200,000 was raised to support programs for the disabled
community of San Diego.“We were thrilled that the Festival continued its run as one of the longest
running and premiere art Festivals on the west coast,” said Ronn Rohe, 2009
Festival Chair. “Through careful artist selection, a growing chalk art
section, a solid entertainment line-up, and an expanding food court, our
visitors were able to enjoy an event that is really second to none here in San
Diego,” Rohe concluded.
